In the National Parks – NEVER leave the tour vehicle to go on foot when wild animals are nearby. Keep a safe distance to avoid agitating them. |

Children - Children under 8yrs are NOT allowed in the tree hotels due to the close proximity of wild animals in the salt licks. |

Children's Nights - Children are allowed at the Tree Hotels only on specified children's nights. For details, contact us before you plan your tour. |

Noise – Avoid making noise when near wild animals as this will agitate them. They may charge at you. Wild animals with youngsters are very dangerous. If you spot a loner animal like a bull buffalo or elephant that has been chased from its family, it is very dangerous to go near it as it is very annoyed and dangerous! It might vent its anger on you! You never know. |

Monkeys – You will see a lot of monkeys in the forests even away from Game Parks. They may seem harmless but do not feed them, get too close or throw anything at them. You should be watching them to keep them away from stealing your food, bags or cameras otherwise they will be watching you! |

Safe deposit boxes – Hotels in Nairobi and Mombasa have safe deposit boxes. Always lock up your cash and valuables. |

Mixing with local people – If you plan to mix with the local people during your daily excursions or personal errands, carry small amounts of money. Avoid exposing a lot of jewellery and expensive cameras. |

Dress - Dress simply and comfortable. Avoid exposing yourself too much as this may not be appreciated by the local people. The coastal region of Mombasa is mainly Muslim. |

Photographs – The driver/guide will assist you with taking pictures of the local people. Always ask for their permission and pay the agreed price if there is any price to pay.
NB: What you are not allowed to do – Take pictures of the President,
the State House, State Lodges, Police, Prisons and Prisoners. |
