Photographs

The driver/guide will assist you with taking pictures of the local people. Always ask for their permission and pay the agreed price if there is any price to pay. 

NB - What you are not allowed to do

Take pictures of the President, the State House, State Lodges,

Police, Prisons and Prisoners.

Token of Appreciation

It is customary to give a tip of about £1, 1$ or 1 or less for 2 suite cases to your porter in the hotel when you check-in. Waiters in the restaurants can be tipped at 10% of the meal cost if you are happy with the service. Safari guides expect a tip at the end of the Safari of about £, $, (5-10) per day. However it is at your own discretion to give tips or not even if you are happy with the Safari or services. You have no obligation.    

Hotel Check In/Check Out

Check out time is normally 1000Hrs. Check in time is 1100Hrs. For your ultimate comfort, reserve your rooms in advance. Day rooms are available up to 1800Hrs.

Meals

While on Safari, meals are provided on Full Board basis. There is a full English breakfast. Lunch is often buffet style set out with salads, cold and hot starters and hot main dishes. Dinner is 3-5 courses with a combination of dishes.

Lodges

Accommodation in the tourist lodges are mainly available as Double, Triple rooms and Luxurious/Presidential suites. Single rooms where applicable are charged as a supplement. Facilities normally include lounges/bars with log fires, dinning rooms and viewing platforms for wildlife. Most lodges have swimming pools.

Tented Camps

Categories range from simple to luxurious. You are provided with spacious twin-beds with mosquito nets, private bathroom and verandas. Camps include restaurants, bar and lounge facilities.

Tree Hotels

Animals normally come very near these salt-licks and water-holes. Children aged under 8 years are not allowed into these hotels to avoid scaring the animals away. It is also dangerous if children are left un-attended. However, there are children's nights.
